This course is essential for meeting the current Chain of Responsibility legislation and mandatory requirements for the use of National Driver Work Diaries.
The course will satisfy Chain of Responsibility requirements by giving a clear understanding of the legal requirements, function and how to complete a National Driver Work Diary.
This course consists of
- A questionnaire on the use of the Work Diary,
- 2 x case studies to answer questions about,
- 1 x solo driver diary page assessment,
- 1 x two up driver diary page assessment
There is NO printing, scanning or emailing back pages required.
The work diary assessments are all electronic.
Meaning you open them on your screen and complete all the details on the page in their correct areas from trip details given to you about the trip.
We highly recommend using a PC or laptop to complete the course, as you have a much larger screen to work on in order to fill in the details on the form.
Course Outcomes
- As a result, drivers will feel more confident in knowing how to correctly complete A National Drivers Work Diary.
- All learners must successfully complete all assessments as per course requirements.
- Finally, successful completion of the unit of competency ensures you comply with the National Heavy Vehicle Legislation and Chain of Responsibility requirements. You will then receive a Statement of Attainment.
- Upon successful completion of this course, a PDF certificate of your Statement of Attainment will be automatically emailed to your email address.
- Please ensure you check Inbox, Junk and Spam folders.
IMPORTANT NOTE
This course is only covering the paper based national drivers work diary and does NOT cover electronic work diaries (EWD).
There are currently 11 x different approved providers with the NHVR for EWD and it would be far too difficult to try and cover how they all work, seeing each one is different to the other.
Anyone who is going to be using an EWD with their company will require training from the employer on how they operate.
Please take note
- This is a self-paced, self-managed course.
- There are NO face-to-face or scheduled training classes with trainers or assessors.
